yeah, ok, it's been a bit quiet here... but ok, I'm back (in some capacity at least)...

work has been really busy, home stuff has been really busy, everything is really busy... (anyone noticing the pattern here?), but the guilt associated with not updating things here has started to become too much. I have a list of draft items that I've half-written and not published because I wasn't happy with them, so I hope to get them out here as soon as I can get around to getting everything else sorted out.

I just didn't want to publish anything that wasn't complete, but as there are probably only about 2 people who read these pages (Hi Mum, Hi Dad), I guess it's a better approach to get the content up there rather than let it sit around waiting for me to go through it again.

for anyone keeping an eye on other things, Laurette and I have updated www.dominoblogs.com with a design based on openslice (it had been sitting in dev for around 8 weeks but we finally managed to sort out the hosting), and over the next 2 or 3 weeks we should be doing a minor update to the design with OPML and links in the entries etc, as well as the v0.99d release of openslice (it has some pretty nice additions).

is it all ever going to happen? well, we go on holidays in around 2 weeks and generally that means we get some time to do some of the things we've been promising ourselves... as geeky as it sounds, for Laurette and I that means that even on holidays we get to knock up some code
